THE ROLE
As the Team Lead Applications, you will lead a team of Functional and Technical Application Managers, ensuring the development, integration, and lifecycle management of critical IT applications at Damen Naval. You’ll foster a collaborative team environment, aligning tasks with individual strengths and ambitions. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll deliver solutions that meet technical and business needs, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and mentor a team of Functional & Technical Application Managers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee the development, integration, and lifecycle management of IT applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver solutions meeting functional and non-functional needs.
- Ensure applications comply with industry standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulations.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors to align services with organizational needs.
- Develop the Team and the individual Team Members.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge and effective.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of skilled professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Skilled in managing vendor relationships and staying ahead of industry trends to deliver innovative, cutting-edge solutions.
- 5+ years in application development, integration, and lifecycle management, with proven success in managing IT-Teams preferably within the shipbuilding or manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of IT systems, application architecture, and cybersecurity standards.
- Strong command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
