Marine Systems & Piping
As a Systems Architect Marine Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring project processes comply with contracts and regulations. You will oversee design and engineering deliverables, safeguard design integrity, and act as a bridge between teams to foster collaboration while ensuring adherence to high-level functional and technical requirements.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading interdisciplinary design reviews and verifying engineering documents.
- Driving technical excellence through requirement management and solution development.
- Analyzing and assessing technical requirements related to the integration of marine systems, products, and processes.
- Ensuring technical compliance of engineering documents, including traceability of requirements to contracts.
- Promoting multi-disciplinary collaboration to deliver optimal project solutions.
- Overseeing customer and classification body reviews, addressing feedback to secure agreement on requirements.
- Performing design verification and contributing to system testing (FAT, HAT, SAT).
- Participating in milestone meetings to ensure deliverables meet schedule and quality expectations.
- Expediting internal and external contributions to ensure timely delivery of engineering documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in shipbuilding or a related industry, with expertise in Marine Systems engineering.
- Hands-on experience working with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Strong project management skills, technical expertise in marine systems, and experience in complex system manufacturing or subcontracting.
- Competencies: exceptional teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership abilities; decisive and results-oriented.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); German language skills are a plus.
- Strong professional references and ability to pass a pre-employment security screening.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport required. Candidates with an NL/EU work visa or dual EU/non-EU nationality are not eligible due to the military nature of the projects.
