Verantwoordelijkheden
- Review customer specifications and define the required scope of work
- Inspect vessels and sites to assess technical requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for repair, maintenance, and conversion projects
- Develop and validate technical and logistical solutions for project execution
- Obtain quotations and commercial terms from suppliers and subcontractors
- Support the commercial team during negotiations and project acquisition
- Collaborate with Procurement, Cost Engineering, and Project Management
- Participate in tender teams for larger and more complex projects
- Contribute to bid/no-bid decisions, risk assessments, and tender evaluations
- Evaluate completed estimates and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Provide feedback to subcontractors and suppliers
- Participate in project evaluations and supplier performance reviews
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Several years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or other project-driven technical environments
- Experience with cost estimating, project preparation, project engineering, or project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
