In this position, you will act as the key coordinator responsible for ensuring technical compliance and operational excellence within a large-scale naval engineering project. The focus lies on maintaining high standards in areas such as Safety, Environmental Management, System Integrity, and Cyber Security.
You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning technical frameworks with contractual and regulatory demands, supporting a multidisciplinary engineering organization that delivers advanced maritime solutions. Reporting directly to the Sub-Project Manager Engineering (Teilprojektleiter Konstruktion), you will guide both governance and execution, making sure processes are consistent, secure, and continuously improved throughout the project lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities

Process Leadership: Establish, maintain, and enforce technical assurance processes across domains such as occupational and system safety, environmental standards, and digital security.

Compliance Oversight: Verify that all project activities and deliverables meet required technical, legal, and client-specific criteria.

Coordination & Integration: Serve as the connecting link between technical specialists and project management teams, ensuring process consistency within risk, change, and quality management frameworks.

Stakeholder Management: Represent the organization in external technical reviews, coordinating directly with client representatives and subcontractors.

Resource Planning: Identify required technical expertise and coordinate capacity planning in cooperation with the engineering and line departments.

Process Optimization: Evaluate current methodologies and propose structured improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Documentation Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation and assurance plans that reflect best practices and project objectives.
Profile & Qualifications

At least five years of experience in a technical or engineering project management capacity, ideally within shipbuilding, aerospace, or automotive environments.

Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and how they apply in complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Demonstrated leadership experience in process-driven, technology-oriented organizations.

Educational background: a Master’s degree in Business or Engineering, or a Technical Bachelor’s degree combined with additional process management training.

Excellent command of English (spoken and written); German proficiency is a valuable advantage.

Must possess permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport due to the defense-related context of the project.
