Overview
In this role you help design a secure cyber design for Damen Naval’s frigates (F126) and oversee security across the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with IT, OT, and security experts to ensure robust cyber provisions for ships and training centers. Your work supports compliant, safe delivery to the German customer, contributing to the ongoing push for secure, capable naval systems. This position offers impact across engineering, procurement, and vendor oversight in a world-class naval program.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Develop deliverables such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and security concepts
- Participate in discussions on IT security, OT security, emission security and physical security
- Contribute to test and verification plans for security measures
- Participate in design checks and reviews to ensure cybersecurity standards
- Verify technical performance of vendors and subcontractors
- Perform technical analysis on received offers with the Purchase department
- Ensure full compliance with requirements and specifications from Class and customer
- Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure timely project contributions
- Contribute to further development of the E&A Engineering department
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline
- Minimum five years’ experience in design or maintenance of complex IT or OT systems
- Broad knowledge of networking and IT systems, hardware infrastructure and hardening
- Knowledge of networking architectures, layers and protocols, cyber security concepts, data encryption, radiation safety
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and IEC 62443
- Willingness to work with German security standards
- Experience with German Armed Forces standards A-960/1 and A-962/1; SAVe tool experience is advantageous
- Experience with third-party vendors and subcontractors
- Good command of German and English (written and verbal)
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport (required); non-EU candidates not eligible
- Networking and IT systems expertise
- System hardening and security concepts

- Data encryption
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, IEC 62443)
