Your responsibilities include the operation and safety of the machinery and systems on board. You play a key role in operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and flawless execution of towing operations. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliLeadership: Direct the engine room personnel. This applies to larger towage vessels. /liliMonitor the operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and systems, with special attention to the unique needs of towing operations. /liliResponsible for planning and executing maintenance and repair work, with a special focus on the reliability of key systems during towing actions. /liliEnsure compliance with international and local maritime legislation, with a strong emphasis on towage-specific regulations. /liliCoordinate logistics around fuel, oil, lubricants, and other essential supplies for effective and efficient towing operations. /liliAct as the crucial link between the Master and the engine room personnel to ensure clear communication and coordination during towing missions. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliMandatory certifications such as STCW, including a valid competency as Chief Engineer. /liliAt least 2 years of experience as Chief Engineer, preferably within towage. /liliExtensive knowledge of machinery and systems specifically related to towage. /liliIn-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, safety procedures within towage. /liliExcellent command of the English language, verbal and written. /liliProven leadership qualities and strong communication skills. /liliAbility to work under high pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations. /li /ulpbJob requirements may vary by client/vessel!
